• Justin William’s Deer Hunt

    Justin William's Deer Hunt November 9th, 2025 Stem, NC Drew Blake hosted previous participant Justin William's for his second ever deer hunt.  Justin attended our first deer camp in 2022 and was unable to harvest his first deer.  Since that hunt Justin's health has taken a serious turn. Check out our August 2025 Newsletter for the latest update on Justin's health.  Now back to the hunt.  Drew had picked up a property from a patron at the Dixie Deer Classic and had visited the property a couple weeks earlier to setup a ground blind and feed site.  The group arrived at the property around 2:30pm and settled into the bog chairs in the ground blind.     This event was canceled due to weather.  Applicants for this event will receive priority on future events. 2025 Deer Camp December 5-7, 2025 Franklin County, North Carolina This will be a three day event featuring one full day of hunting. Please complete the application below to be considered eligible for attending the event. The 2025 Deer Camp will be located in Franklin County, North Carolina.  Franklin County was founded in 1779 and is located in the heart of the North Carolina Piedmont approximately 45 minutes northeast of the state capital, Raleigh.  Franklin County is a historically rural area known for its agricultural, lumber, and textiles industries.  This hunt will feature several properties, with the main property consisting of 1,000 continuous acres.  This property features great hiking trails, 5 ponds (3 managed, largest 15 acres), mature hardwood bottomlands and ridges, and active agricultural fields.  This property will be the location of…

  • Swan Hunt 2025

    December 8, 2025 Pantego, NC Hosted By: Drew Blake, Brendon Brown, and Cam Patrick finally completed a swan hunt that was 2 years in the making.  The trip started off with a five (5) hour drive to a cabin owned by Brendon's family in Fairfield, NC.  After a long dinner at Harris' Steak & Seafood House, located at 6555 NC-94, Fairfield, NC 27826, the guys left and settled back in for a good nights sleep at the cabin.  The next morning came early for a hour ride to the hunt field.  Along the way the guys stopped to fill their bellies at MJ’s Country Store & Grill, located at 6888 NC-99, Pantego, NC 27860.  All the guys enjoyed smoked sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits and friendly conversations with the store staff.  After breakfast the guys made their way to the field to meet Jason Haddock with H & H Guide…

  • 2026 Duck Hunt

    2026 Duck Hunt January 3, 2026 Davis, North Carolina This weekend started with Drew and marine veteran Daniel Smith enjoying some private duck hunting on Thursday (1/1) and Friday (1/2).  Great laughs were had but the birds just didn't cooperate.  The rest of the group, four (4) veterans and one (1) youth, showed up Friday night for a one day guided duck hunt with Jeff Salter of Hunting Quarters Guide Service in Davis, North Carolina.  The weekend centered around  started out with a shrimp boil where the group met and enjoyed good laughs with each other.  The next day everyone woke up to meet Jeff at the Jim Dandy gas station in Davis, NC.  From there the group drove a short distance to load up on Jeff's skiff for the short ride across the Core Sound.     2026 Kerr Lake Striper & Catfish Weekend May 29-31, 2026 Henderson Point Campground Come join Drew Blake for a weekend of fishing on Kerr Lake/Buggs Island Reservoir. Buggs Island consists of nearly 50,000 acres of surface water and 800 miles of shoreline. Join us as we target two of the lakes well known fisheries (Striped Bass and Catfish). Buggs Island is known to have two “schools” of stripers which is based on their original stocking locations. One school ranges from Clarksville to the Ivy Hill area and “migrates” up the Dan River. During spring, these stripers can be found in the upper end of the lake and in the river above Clarksville as fish travel upstream to spawn. The second school ranges from Eastland Creek back toward the dam and “migrates” up to Nutbush Creek. As the summer progresses the upper school migrates down the lake and joins the lower…
