Wall Tent Shop was founded in 2002 by Rich and his late wife Sheryl. Prior to starting walltentshop.com and packsaddleshop.com, Rich and Sheryl enjoyed horse packing into the backcountry of in pursuit of Rocky Mountain Elk. It was this endeavor that laid the groundwork for what we have established today. While selling old pack equipment on eBay, Sheryl noticed that she was able to sell Rich’s old pack equipment for near what they bought it for – realizing that there was a need for a reliable source for horse packing equipment. It was this occurrence which led Sheryl to develop packsaddleshop.com – a website solely dedicated to horse packing equipment. Rich and Sheryl’s experience in the backcountry made for a very informative website, which drew a following. Based off of Rich and Sheryl’s expertise camping in the wilderness, many customers asked for recommendations on wall tents and they started selling wall tents from other companies. After a few years of selling other’s tents and desiring improvements, Rich and Sheryl decided they would make their own tent – our Wilderness Wall Tent. With the establishment of our own model, came a new website – walltentshop.com. From this point forward, we have continued to manufacture the most reinforced and longest lasting tent on the market.
