Leland Little Sporting Art Fair A Celebration of Community, Art, History, and the Sporting Lifestyle Leland Little is delighted to host our fourth annual Sporting Art Fair on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Although hosted on the grounds and within the galleries of Leland Little, this is a community event brought forth by a group of partners who are personally and professionally invested in the world of sporting art. The Sporting Art Fair is for everyone. Expect a day full of exhibitions, in-person demonstrations, great food, activities for all ages, and above all, a whole lot of fun. June 20-22, 2025 Kerr Lake State Recreation Area Henderson Point Campground - Area 1 Tent Site: 025 Arrival Date: Fri Jun 20 2025 Check-in Time: 3:00 PM Departure Date: Sun Jun 22 2025 Check-out Time: 12:00 PM June 20-22, 2025, Drew Blake spent the weekend with Monaca Gilmore, Anthony Torres, and Maurice Adams at Buggs Island Reservoir. Striped bass were targeted with live bait and deep water trolling techniques depending on conditions at the time. Live baiting will consisted of 6-8 rods rigged with modified Carolina Rigs topped off with herring fishing in depths from 10-40 feet deep. Live baiting utilized planer boards from AlphaBoardz. Deep Water Trolling consisted of 4 rods fished off of Cannon downriggers and 2 leadcore rods fishing at depths from 25-60 feet deep. 2025 Mountain Trout Trip Event Description: Come join us for a weekend of relaxation and tranquility while trout fishing on stocked streams and ponds in beautiful Cherokee, North Carolina. This event will be held in partnership with Veterans Creed - Team North Carolina.  The event will be hosted by the Cherokee/Great Smokies KOA Campground.  Attendees can anticipate good camaraderie, relaxation, and fun times.  Accommodations will consist of overnight camping in our 10×12 Canvas Wall Tent from The Wall Tent Shop and a Davis Canvas Tent. https://youtu.be/-0h-khZWby8   https://youtu.be/WIl_Kf7Zmjk

GEO was accepted to be a vendors for Hunter's Night Out hosted by Carolina Sportsman Outfitters.  The event was held August 2nd, 2025 at Carolina Bait & Tackle at 7630 NC-39, Henderson, NC 27537.  Raffle prizes include a custom Guiding Eyes Outdoors cushion from Pur-Pro, a Calcutta Outdoors 20LT Renegade Cooler full of goodies, and a Kunnan Blackwater medium action spinning combo.  Ticket prices were $5/ticket, 5 for $20 and 10 for $40.  Our drawing was on August 3rd, 2025 through our Facebook Page.

Justin William's Deer Hunt November 9th, 2025 Stem, NC Drew Blake hosted previous participant Justin William's for his second ever deer hunt.  Justin attended our first deer camp in 2022 and was unable to harvest his first deer.  Since that hunt Justin's health has taken a serious turn. Check out our August 2025 Newsletter for the latest update on Justin's health.  Now back to the hunt.  Drew had picked up a property from a patron at the Dixie Deer Classic and had visited the property a couple weeks earlier to setup a ground blind and feed site.  The group arrived at the property around 2:30pm and settled into the bog chairs in the ground blind. Drew Blake and volunteer Anthony Torres took disabled veteran Tim Cheek on his first duck hunt.  Action was slow but the breakfast was good.  

December 8, 2025 Pantego, NC Hosted By: Drew Blake, Brendon Brown, and Cam Patrick finally completed a swan hunt that was 2 years in the making.  The trip started off with a five (5) hour drive to a cabin owned by Brendon's family in Fairfield, NC.  After a long dinner at Harris' Steak & Seafood House, located at 6555 NC-94, Fairfield, NC 27826, the guys left and settled back in for a good nights sleep at the cabin.  The next morning came early for a hour ride to the hunt field.  Along the way the guys stopped to fill their bellies at MJ’s Country Store & Grill, located at 6888 NC-99, Pantego, NC 27860.  All the guys enjoyed smoked sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits and friendly conversations with the store staff.  After breakfast the guys made their way to the field to meet Jason Haddock with H & H Guide…

2026 Duck Hunt January 3, 2026 Davis, North Carolina This weekend started with Drew and marine veteran Daniel Smith enjoying some private duck hunting on Thursday (1/1) and Friday (1/2).  Great laughs were had but the birds just didn't cooperate.  The rest of the group, four (4) veterans and one (1) youth, showed up Friday night for a one day guided duck hunt with Jeff Salter of Hunting Quarters Guide Service in Davis, North Carolina.  The weekend centered around  started out with a shrimp boil where the group met and enjoyed good laughs with each other.  The next day everyone woke up to meet Jeff at the Jim Dandy gas station in Davis, NC.  From there the group drove a short distance to load up on Jeff's skiff for the short ride across the Core Sound.
