The 2024 GEO Deer Camp will be hosted by MAG Feeders in Caldwell County, North Carolina. Caldwell County is in the northwest section of North Carolina in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is bounded on the northwest by Watauga County, on the northeast by Wilkes County, on the east by Alexander County, on the south by Catawba and Burke Counties and on the west by Burke and Avery Counties. It is located approximately 69 miles northwest of Charlotte, 84 miles southwest of Winston-Salem, and 90 miles northeast of Asheville and boasts breathtaking views from elevation ranges from 900 feet to 5,964 feet.

Primitive lodging will be provided for guests and volunteers, however, you may need to bring your own cot. Tents will be provided by GEO and will consist of a 10-ft x 12-ft canvas wall tent from The Wall Tent Shop and a 10-ft x 12-ft Kodiak Canvas tent. Guests are welcome to bring their own tents and sleeping gear. Guests for the event will be provided a volunteer guide and experienced the finest of North Carolina whitetail deer hunting in temporary ground blinds, elevated shooting towers, ladder stands, and lock-on treestands. All safety gear and necessary hunting, except clothing and boots will be provided.

This is an Archery Hunt. Please notify us ASAP if you are in need of archery equipment. Crossbows will be provided for blind participants only.

Terms and Conditions Highlights

You are responsible for your own hunting license and big game tags. A license exemption will be applied for but is not guaranteed.
Accommodations can be made for those traveling from out of state. GEO will make every attempt to pick you up from the airport nearest the event location as long as coordination has occurred prior to the event. Please let us know if airport pick up is needed in your sign up form.
Attendees are responsible for all travel cost incurred for the event. GEO does not provide travel compensation.
In state attendees must find transportation to the event themselves. Transportation can be provided for those along travel routes of GEO volunteers as long as coordination prior to the event occurs. Please let us know if transportation is needed in your sign up form.
