2026 Deer Camp

This will be a three day event featuring one full day of hunting.

The 2026 Deer Camp will be located in Franklin County, North Carolina.  Franklin County was founded in 1779 and is located in the heart of the North Carolina Piedmont approximately 45 minutes northeast of the state capital, Raleigh.  Franklin County is a historically rural area known for its agricultural, lumber, and textiles industries. 

This hunt will feature several properties made up of mature hardwood bottomlands and ridges, and active agricultural fields.     All hunting will be conducted within temporary ground blind locations that will be setup several weeks.  Transportation to and from the hunt locations will be provided by properly licensed staff and volunteers.

When not in the field, our participants will enjoy time around a firepit fellowshipping.  Lodging will be primitive tent style camping provided by GEO in a 10-ft x 12-ft canvas wall tent from The Wall Tent Shop  and a 10-ft x 12-ft Kodiak Canvas tent.  Each tent will be outfitted with bunk-style cots and either wood-burning stoves or propane heaters.  

Transportation to the event is the responsibility of those selected to attend.  Guests selected to attend the event will be paired with volunteer familiar with the properties who will guide them to and from the hunt location.

Meals will be provided by Sizzlin Arrow and will be as follows:

  1. Friday Night Dinner – Venison Spaghetti with venison Bolognese, Salad, Garlic Bread/Rolls
  2. Saturday Breakfast: Quesadillas (venison sausage, bacon, sausage, egg)
  3. Saturday Lunch: deli sandwiches, chips, fruit, cookies/cake
  4. Saturday Night Dinner – Pulled Pork BBQ or BBQ Chicken, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Slaw
  5. Nightly desserts: Assorted Cakes & Pies, Banana Pudding, Strawberry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip Pound Cake
