Thank you to everyone that came out to Camp Don Lee to join our 2024 Trophy Drum Weekend! We also wanted to extend a special thank you to our volunteer boat captains and our sponsors for helping to make this event happen. 

Labor day traffic in no way set the tone for the incredible time we had on the water and this was an adventure to remember! Camp Don Lee was the perfect venue for our unique and diverse group of participants and volunteers. Our staff overcame the occasional boat issues and adapted to deliver an awesome event. At one point, we were down to one operational boat, but the participants rotated through in groups and piled on the boat for a great time. While we unfortunately did not reel in any Trophy Drum, multiple participants felt the rod bow forward and heard the drag scream as line was pulled out of the reel and likely taken by an elusive Trophy Drum.  We were however successful and concluded the event with a big blue and five (5) rays being caught. While not fishing, participants enjoyed activities such as kayaking, swimming, log rolling (or attempting to) and relaxing around the beautiful campus of Camp Don Lee. Before turning in for the night, we ended around the crackling sounds of the campfire with hopes that event would never end and we are already looking forward to next year.

Don Lee Center also serves as a Retreat Center offering a place for groups of all sizes and backgrounds to come together and bond through fellowship during meals and activities.  We have hosted various groups ranging from families to church groups to college organizations.

Don Lee Center seeks to nurture persons to become spiritually mature who, motivated by God’s love, will live and practice lifestyles of care for the common good.
