SUMMARY:2026 Turkey Camp
DESCRIPTION:Mountain City\, TN\nApril 23-26\, 2026\nJoin us for an unforgettable spring turkey hunt in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee. This upcoming hunt will take place near Mountain City\, Tennessee and will be proudly hosted by Appalachian Custom Calls\, a company known for its dedication to the tradition and craftsmanship of turkey hunting. \nMountain City is a small Appalachian town surrounded by some of the most beautiful and rugged land in the region. Located in the northeastern corner of Tennessee near the borders of North Carolina and Virginia\, the area is defined by steep ridgelines\, hardwood forests\, quiet hollows\, and winding mountain streams. Towering stands of oak\, hickory\, and poplar blanket the mountainsides\, creating ideal habitat for Eastern wild turkeys. In the spring\, the forest wakes up with fresh green growth and the unmistakable sound of gobblers echoing from ridge to ridge at daybreak. \nThis hunt offers participants a chance to experience classic Appalachian turkey hunting. Mornings will begin before sunrise as hunters listen for gobbles rolling through the mountain valleys before moving into position along hardwood ridges\, logging roads\, and natural travel corridors where gobblers roam during the spring breeding season. \nHosted by Appalachian Custom Calls\, this event is about more than just the hunt—it’s about sharing the heritage and skills of turkey hunting in the mountains. Participants will have the opportunity to hunt beautiful mountain terrain\, learn calling techniques\, and experience the excitement of working a mountain gobbler in his home country. \nWhether you’re a seasoned turkey hunter or someone looking to experience the challenge and beauty of mountain hunting for the first time\, this event promises an authentic Appalachian outdoor experience. \nCome join us in the mountains and hear the woods come alive with the sound of spring gobblers in Mountain City. \nPlease use the form below to sign up for this event\n\n 2026 Turkey HuntΔ\n 2026 Turkey Hunt Sign Up Form\n\n\nComplete this form to sign up for the event. \n\n\n\n Are you registering for the 2026 Turkey Hunt- Select -YesFirst NameLast NamePhoneEmailGovernment Identification Please provide your Drivers License or government ID NumberPlease provide your NC Wildlife Commission License NumberApplicant Identification InformationPlease provide your current mailing addressAddress Line 1Address Line 2CityStateZip CodeCountrySelect CountryAfghanistanAland IslandsAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Saint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBritish Virgin IslandsBruneiBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCabo VerdeCambodiaCameroonCanadaCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos (Keeling) IslandsColombiaComorosCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzech RepublicDemocratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa)DenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyIvory CoastJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKosovoKuwaitKyrgyzstanLaosLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacao S.A.R.\, ChinaMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth KoreaNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestinian TerritoryPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRepublic of the Congo (Brazzaville)RomaniaRussiaRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint HelenaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint Martin (Dutch part)Saint Martin (French part)Saint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia/Sandwich IslandsSouth KoreaSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyriaTaiwanTajikistanTanzaniaThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited Kingdom (UK)United States (US)United States (US) Minor Outlying IslandsUnited States (US) Virgin IslandsUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVaticanVenezuelaVietnamWallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweWhat is your birthday? Please identify your racePlease choose your gender- Select -MaleFemalePrefer Not to AnswerWhat size shirt do you wear- Select -SmallMediumLargeExtra Large2XL3XLPlease choose your age group- Select -Prefer Not to Answer0-910-1920-2930-3940-4950-5960-6970-79Event Attendance OptionsSome description about this sectionHave you attended a GEO event in the past- Select -YesNoPlease Select All That ApplyBlind/Visually ImpairedActive Duty/VeteranFirst ResponderChildren of the FallenVolunteerGuideGEO StaffHave you harvested a turkey before?- Select -YesNoBlind & Visually Impaired QuestionsThis section contains questions so that we can serve you better. SUMMARY:2024 Deer Camp
DESCRIPTION:2024 Deer Camp\nDates: October 18-20\nLocation: Caldwell County\, NC\nThe 2024 GEO Deer Camp was hosted by MAG Feeders and Double G Ranch in Caldwell County\, North Carolina and was our first ever archery hunt.  Caldwell County is in the northwest section of North Carolina in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is bounded on the northwest by Watauga County\, on the northeast by Wilkes County\, on the east by Alexander County\, on the south by Catawba and Burke Counties and on the west by Burke and Avery Counties. It is located approximately 69 miles northwest of Charlotte\, 84 miles southwest of Winston-Salem\, and 90 miles northeast of Asheville and boasts breathtaking views from elevation ranges from 900 feet to 5\,964 feet. \nA total of thirty-two (32) people (Staff\, Volunteers\, and Participants) signed up to attend this event which was the largest number to sign up for any event to this point.  Ultimately sixteen (16) people wound up attending with five (5) of them being selected to hunt at the event.  The remain positions were filled by staff and our largest outpouring of volunteers that we have ever seen.  MAG Outdoors not only pulled out all the stops but they pulled out a community of people.  We cannot thank them enough for the support they have shown our organization in just the few short months that we have known each other. \nLodging was provided for guests and volunteers in tents that  were provided by GEO and consisted of a 10-ft x 12-ft canvas wall tent from The Wall Tent Shop  and a 10-ft x 12-ft Kodiak Canvas tent.  Guests for the event were provided a volunteer guide and experienced the finest of North Carolina whitetail deer hunting in temporary ground blinds carefully positioned over looking the finest feeder on the market\, the 150 pound MAG feeder. \nFriday Night Dinner\nFriday night (October 18th) started with a large camp fire meet and greet featuring spaghetti prepared by Paul Rhoades of Sizzlin Arrow. Everyone chowed down and prepared for the day ahead. \nSaturday (October 19th) \nSaturday started off with an early morning wake up call for staff (4:00am) to prepare for the day.  Participants and volunteers weren’t able to sleep much long with a wake up call of 5:00am.  Fortunately for them they woke up to a warm breakfast again prepared by Paul Rhoades.  The morning started off quickly and on a good note when veteran Dominic Bennett arrowed his first buck with volunteer Jonathon Wallace.   Action occurred for all hunt groups as Drew Blake and Terry Richardson witnessed a couple large bucks across a pasture but they disappeared before getting to them.  Aaron Rich and first responder Robby Holderfield had multiple shots at a nice 6 point but were unable to connect.  All groups were back in by 11:00 for a lunch and a well deserved rest.  The afternoon saw less action with the only action coming from Dominic and Jonathon when Dominic missed an opportunity at a large doe. \nSaturday evening featured our “Saturday Night Special” which centered around a hog that was provided by James Kiser.  This hog was slow grilled throughout the day and perfectly prepared by James and Paul. \n \nThe rest of the staff fell in to pull and chop the pork prior to the crowd arriving\, and boy was it a crowd.  James and Alison Reed of MAG Outdoors pulled out all the stops with their family in attendance providing all the fixin’s and desserts that go with a perfect southern pig pickin’.  Again\, we can’t thank them enough for their unwavering support of our organization. \nSunday (October 20th) \nOur last day started off the same as Saturday with an early wake up call that was made even more difficult following a large dinner.  Sunday morning was slow in action with Ben Pierce being the only hunter with an opportunity.  Unfortunately\, he was unable to connect with a doe.  All groups were back in by 10:00 for final interviews and goodbyes.  Following the departure of all the participants the staff and volunteers made quick work of breaking down camp and with final goodbyes our 2024 Deer Camp ended just as quickly as it started. \nClick Here to Check Out Videos From This Event\n \n

SUMMARY:2024 Tundra Swan Hunt
DESCRIPTION:2024 Swan Hunt Sign Up FormΔ\n 2024 Duck Hunt Sign Up Form\n\n\n2024 TUNDRA SWAN HUNT\nJanuary 16th\, 2024\nPantego\, NC\nHosted by: H & H Guide Service\nFilmed by: Carolina All Out\nNorth Carolina winters more tundra swans than any other state on the East Coast and therefore plays a huge role in the yearly migration of the Eastern Population of tundra swans. Due to this\, North Carolina consistently harvests the most tundra swans in the United States though those numbers are limited due to the approximately 5\,000 permits that are issued each year. Each fall\, approximately 75\,000-100\,000 tundra swans migrate to northeastern North Carolina to take advantage of the abundant food sources following the fall harvest season.   \n\nH & H Guide Service hosts swan hunts in the Pantego\, NC area and features a 100% harvest rate for the last 18 years.  Hunting can most likely occurs in harvest crop fields utilizing drainage ditches and and field blinds to hide the hunters.  Look them up on Facebook \nCarolina All Out is a regional TV series hosted by Chris Douglas.  Chris spent 16 years of his career traveling across the world pursing game with the camera for numerous national TV series and networks. Understanding that he would be promoting a lifestyle encompassing all things outdoors\, he wanted to create a brand that was simple but cool\, something thought provoking but that also represented the pursuits of the regional sportsman. Chris has videoed and produced outdoor shows for some of the top names in the industry in some of the most remote places on earth. With hundreds of successful hunts\, Chris is the only producer who has ever captured 23 of the 29 North American Big Game animals on professional video equipment. \n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\nPlease complete the form below to claim your spot\n\n\n First NameLast NamePhoneEmailWhat is your birthday? Please provide your Drivers License or government ID NumberPlease provide your NC Wildlife Commission License NumberDo you have your Federal Duck Stamp?- Select -YesNoDo you have your HIP certification?- Select -YesNoPlease provide your current mailing addressAddress Line 1Address Line 2CityStateZip CodeCountrySelect CountryAfghanistanAland IslandsAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Saint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBritish Virgin IslandsBruneiBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCabo VerdeCambodiaCameroonCanadaCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos (Keeling) IslandsColombiaComorosCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzech RepublicDemocratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa)DenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyIvory CoastJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKosovoKuwaitKyrgyzstanLaosLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacao S.A.R.\, ChinaMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth KoreaNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestinian TerritoryPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRepublic of the Congo (Brazzaville)RomaniaRussiaRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint HelenaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint Martin (Dutch part)Saint Martin (French part)Saint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia/Sandwich IslandsSouth KoreaSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyriaTaiwanTajikistanTanzaniaThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited Kingdom (UK)United States (US)United States (US) Minor Outlying IslandsUnited States (US) Virgin IslandsUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVaticanVenezuelaVietnamWallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabwePlease identify your racePlease choose your gender- Select -MaleFemalePlease choose your age group- Select -0-910-1920-2930-3940-4950-5960-6970-79Please Indicate Your Shirt SizeAdult MediumAdult LargeAdult Extra LargeAdult 2XLHave you attended a GEO event in the pastYesNoSelect Your Event Role- Select -Blind/Visually ImpairedVeteranFirst ResponderCarolina All Out CrewH & H Guide ServiceGEO StaffAre you Blind or visually impaired and wanting to hunt in this event- Select -YesNoAre you a Military Veteran and wanting to hunt in this event- Select -YesNoAre you volunteering for this event- Select -YesNoAre you a First Responder and wanting to hunt in this event- Select -YesNoAre you a staff member of GEO- Select -YesNoBlind & Visually Impaired QuestionsThis section contains questions so that we can serve you better. DESCRIPTION:2024 Duck Camp\nJanuary 12th-20th\, 2024\nSwansboro\, NC\n\n 2024 Duck Camp Sign UpΔ\n 2024 Duck Hunt Sign Up Form\n\n\nThe 2024 Duck Camp will be based of Swansboro\, NC from January 12th-20th\, 2024.  Hunters will experience a wide range of coastal NC hunting from the quietness of the White Oak River to the shallowest of sounds (Bogue & Core Sounds) to the broadest of rivers (Neuse and Tar-Pam Rivers).  Each days weather and the movement of birds will determine the optimal hunt location each day.  With a combined 30+ years of duck hunting experience guides Michael Fussell and Drew Blake\, our hunters are in for a good time on the water.  Hunts will be out of Michael's Lund 1860 side console boat equipped with a custom duck blind and the much needed camp stove for warm meals.  Hunting out of boat will give our hunt groups the mobility needed to chase birds from the coastal marsh grass to the open water.  Early mornings are a sure thing as we may leave the confines of Carteret County and make the 2 hour ride to the Hyde County area.  Bring your cold weather gear\, ski googles\, and waterproof clothes and get ready from some good ole fashion "Down East" duck hunting.  Click here for a look back on last years hunt. \n  \n\nPlease complete the form below to claim your spot\n\n\n First NameLast NamePhoneEmailWhat is your SUMMARY:January 2023 Duck Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Drew Blake\, President\, and Michael Fussell\, Fundraising Director\, hosted a Marine veteran (Daniel Smith) for his first duck hunt on January 12-15\, 2023.  The trip began under less then ideal conditions with Michael suffering a catastrophic boat trailer failure less than halfway through his trip down.  Drew and Daniel started the trip with a roughly 3 mile kayak paddle up an eastern North Carolina river.  They finally got to their hunt location around 8:30am and set up the spread.  Shortly after setting up a huge flock of resident geese made swing though no shots were fired.  After a long paddle back to the dock with sporadic scouting along the way Daniel and Drew enjoyed a dinner at a local restaurant before enjoying a night by the campfire at the Air B and B that they rented for the weekend. After calling everywhere possible\, Michael decided to load up his brothers kayak and attempt to make the best of the situation. \nDay 2 of the trip consisted of Daniel and Drew doing some unsuccessful scouting and resting prior to the arrival of Michael with fresh intel. After an uneventful afternoon hunt of watching birds land on the other side of the bay Drew and Michael decided to shift things up. That night all three spent a considerable amount of time camouflaging their kayaks in anticipation of the next days hunt. \nDay 3 and Michael’s intel paid off big time.  Due to the lack of a boat they decided to sleep in and let the sun come up before venturing out into the unknown on kayaks.  After a one mile paddle across a bay they setup with birds diving into a cove and neighboring hunters screaming as they just filled their limit.  Michael and Drew hustled to get the decoys out\, a mixture of bluebills\, redheads\, pintails\, puddle ducks and geese were flung out into the water while Daniel waited in anticipation.  10 minutes later the sound of gun fire rang out and Daniel had his first duck\, a stud drake bluebill.  And just as quickly as it began it had ended with Drew and Michael getting in on the action and a three man limit was filled in under 30 minutes.  The afternoon was filled with laughter and drinks in celebration of the feat that had just been accomplished.  To quote the locals “you boys went where in those and did what.”  Yeah we did and we came back with a strap full of ducks while the locals were left scratching their heads. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Archery Deer Hunt
DESCRIPTION:2022 Archery Deer Hunt\n\n\nThe 2022 GEO Archery Deer Hunt occurred across several properties that are spread throughout Alamance\, Person\, and Orange counties in central North Carolina.  Due to funding issues our event participants were heavily reduced to allow funds to be reallocated for the October rifle camp.  Josh Tabor was flown in from Rutland\, Vermont to try his luck at an early season whitetail buck.  Josh hunted exclusively with Drew Blake over 3 days and shared time bonding with Drew and his family.  Meals were prepared by Drew’s wife\, Sarah\, and consisted of venison pasta\, breakfast quesadillas\, and fried catfish with traditional southern sides.  This was Josh’s first experience with catfish which he seemed to enjoy.  Josh and Drew hunted in areas known to produce monster North Carolina whitetail bucks with trail camera photos leading up to the event proving just that.  The pair hunted out of preset Barronett Featherfive ground blinds in landscapes varying from hardwood ridges over looking large creek bottoms\, fallow fields\, and cutovers.  Drew picked Josh up from Raleigh-Durham International Airport at 11:30pm Thursday September 22nd.  The pair arrived back at camp around 1:00am and settled in for the next morning.  Hunting was hot and slow the entire weekend with no deer harvested. Although\, no deer were harvested\, Josh and Drew spent time learning more about each other and deer hunting in the south.  We appreciate Josh for his understanding that our hunts are not guaranteed.  At the end of the day\, our trips are about a lot more then harvesting the animal we’re pursuing.  Our hunts are about getting people outdoors that may not have the resources todo so on their own.  If you like this story and want to learn more about Josh please let us know.  He is looking for a mentor to take him hunting in Vermont.  If you know of anyone in the Rutland area please reach out to us so that we can connect them. \n\nSpecial thanks to the following companies and organizations for supporting this event:\n\n\n\n\n\nHUNTSTAND\nELIMISHIELD HUNT\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPUR-PRO\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNC WILDLIFE RESOURCES COMISSION\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHITETAIL GREENS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHALE HABITAT & SEED\n\n\n\n\n\nHere are a few trail camera shots of deer that never showed:\n  \nHere are a few photos from our camp and hunts:\n       \n

SUMMARY:2022 Turkey Camp
DESCRIPTION:About the event\n\n\nThe 2022 GEO Turkey Camp was hosted by the prestigious Flat Branch Hunt Club in Bunnlevel\, North Carolina. Guests were provided a guide and cameraman for the event along with lodging and daily meals. We would like to thank Byrd’s BBQ and Noble Meats & Eatery for the awesome meals. Guests experienced the finest of North Carolina turkey hunting in landscapes varying from managed food plots\, agricultural fields\, and planted pine to hardwood creek bottoms. Hunting occurred from temporary ground blinds that were perfectly placed based on hours of scouting and years of hunting knowledge. While the birds did not cooperate this years we were able to get a couple of groups within close proximity of mature gobbling toms. But as fate would have it we were unable to seal the deal. Even though no turkeys were harvested all participants enjoyed much needed relaxation and have formed long lasting bonds. Given the success of our first event\, we at GEO are proud and excited for what the future holds.
